SIR,—I would be grateful if any of your readers could

tell me if they intend to take Dr Wilson's advice and instruct their daughters in the mysteries of hepy petting. If so, could they let me know what anatomical terms they intend to use and where I can buy a manikin for use in the practical class.

Dr Wilson's article is typical of the sort of effusion of which well-meaning doctors, out of touch with clinical practice, do so tend to unburden themselves. It tells us what to do, as if we did not already know. and makes the ludicrous assumption that we are all equipped to do it.

Perhaps the doctor, having recalled us to our duty, could give us an explicit version of his stirring seminar. Better still, could he not recommend one of the score of excellent books on the subject that make

such splendid Christmas presents for our darling daughters?
