A prospectus has been issued of a company called the

"Imperial Land Company of Marseilles," with a capital of 1,600,0001., in shares of 20/. each. The company has obtained possession of four or five properties in Marseilles, on which they propose to erect lane buildings, a work believed to be profitable in many of the great cities of France. The directors promise 10 per cent. for the first two years, and state that they have resold one of the properties at a profit of 600,000/. The first calla will not exceed 51.8 but shares may be paid up in full.
