"O'er hill and dale ;" Air 5. la Tyrolienne. Composed

for Miss CLARA NOVELL°.

The young lady for whom this anonymous air was written, is one or the most promising of our English singers. We have not heard her sing it : but, extensive as is its compass, and difficult as it is to exe- cute its passages with that perfect precision which constitutes their principal charm, we have no fear of its tasking her powers beyond their capability. Tyrolean airs are, of course, very much like each other; and, to say the truth, our appetite towards them is beginning to pall : there is, however, something rather more piquant than usual in this.
