rend S. BARROW, has reached a fifth edition, without having fallen under our notice, or we believe that of any other chronicler or literature. Although the Dictionary and its questions may not be, as the author says they are, " the most important auxiliaries of general education ever presented to the world," yet the volume must be allowed to contain the germs of a vast quantity of useful information, clearly conveyed, and sometimes illustrated, always set off, by very neat and characteristic cuts.
