The Lord Mayor Elect, Mr. Cubitt, was presented to the

Lord Chan- cellor yesterday. Mr. Cubitt is a Norfolk man, and in early life he served in the Royal Navy, but at the age of nineteen he turned to trade, and has realized an ample fortune as a builder.
