The Church Bells Album (Southampton Street, Strand) con- tains some

eighty engravings, each accompanied with explanatory letterpress, of cathedrals and churches in Yorkshire, Lancashire, and the Midland Counties. The engravings do not pretend to any high standard of excellence ; but they are plain and useful repre- sentations of facts, while the letterpress supplies the necessary details. The Album will be welcome to many readers interested in church architecture. It will suggest many visits to ecclesias- tical buildings that are well worth seeing.
