Sir: 'They remind me of Wales on a wet Sunday afternoon.' What an evocative but perhaps tendentious brush-stroke! Theo- dore Dalrymple (`If symptoms per- sist . . . , 13 October) might have pon- dered that that swipe could hardly have pleased your Welsh readers. But how well he does write! One turns, despite knowing very little about medicine, to his pungent asides with the same sort of anticipated pleasure one no doubt used to turn to Corno di Bassetto's Star articles, despite one's limited knowledge of music. In both cases, the style's the thing. May we please have more of Dalrymple's writing?
