Michigan, Iowa, and Rhode Island all seem to be thinking

of trying the experiment of Women's Suffrage for us. At least, in all these States, an amendment of the State Constitution sanction- ing women's suffrage has been approved in the Lower Chambers, though not in the Senates. And the experiment will be of the complete kind,—not the excuse for it proposed in this country ; married as well as single women will have votes. In Rhode Island at least, the experiment would be tried under conditions instructive even to the Old World.
