Battle of Anguilla

CHRISTOPHER HOLLIS

When armies not so long ago Picked other armies for their foe ' They used to fight them tooth to toe And give them all they'd got.

Today, if pressed, they take a crack At soldiers who can answer back, But find it cheaper to attack Civilians who cannot.

And when we say we've always won And when they ask us how it's done, We boast, 'They only had one gun Which couldn't fire a shot.'
