The Regent's Park murder case has resulted in a verdict

of " Wilful murder " against Gellatly, a youth of seventeen, who struck the blow. His comrades have mostly been found guilty only of conspiring to assault and of unlawful assembly, whilst four of them have also been found guilty of rioting in Regent's Park. Mr. Justice Hawkins sentenced Gellatly to death; but as the jury have strongly recommended him to mercy on account of his youth, it is probable that his sentence will be commuted.
