Our Soldier Hero. By M. L. Ridley. (J. F. Shaw

and Co.)—A simply told story of the career of a young Christian soldier, one who does his duty first by giving up his desire for the soldier's life when other things seemed to stand in the way ; and who, having had his desire granted him, (bee his duty still, even unto death. Leslie is of the best type of English manhood, and Miss Ridley deserves much praise for the vigour with which she has drawn him.
