The Eversley Secrets. By Evelyn E. Green. (Mackie and Son.)—

This is a story of domestic life, the " secrets " being surprises which a family of children prepare against the return of their mother, and other things less agreeable. The little quarrels and wrongs which trouble the course of family history, the inflaence which kindness and the sense of duty have in reconciling and setting right, are well de- scribed ; and the individualities of the various children, among whom Susie, with her inseparable favourite " Reqaieseat," is certainly the most charming, skilfully preserved.
