The London and County Banking Company held •its annual meeting

on Thursday last, when the directors presented their half- yearly report to the shareholders. The bank was represented as in a most flourishing condition, the net profits for the half-year, after making provision for bad and doubtful debts, being 126,431/., which, with the sum brought forward from the previous account, allowed a dividend at the rate of 36 per cent. per annum, leaving 18,6291. 12s. 3d. to be carried forward.
