SIR,—The Spectator is, of course, right, and Mr. Fletcher (in

last week's issue) is wrong. Brougham, in " Statesmen of the Time of George III.," speaking of Thurlow, says : " His aspect was more solemn and imposing than any other person's in public life, so much so that Mr. Fox used to say it proved him dishonest, since no man could be so wise as he looked."—I am, Sir, &c., STEPHEN WHEELER.
