PREPARATIONS are making at Buckingham Palace, under the direction of Mr. Blore, for the reception of the Court towards the end of the next week—the 9th instant being the day named for the Queen's return to town. At the same time, it is said, many alterations will be made to render the Palace a more convenient residence for a married couple.

Her Majesty continues to enjoy good health at Windsor ; walking on the Castle terrace whenever the weather will permit. Lord John Russell joined the Royal dinner-party on Wednesday. • Yesterday, the Queen held a Privy Council, and the Earl of' Clarendon kissed hands as Lord Privy Seal.
