Newspapers from the North American Provinces have reached us this

morning. Their contents are generally uninteresting. Political excitement seemed to have subsided everywhere ; but a private letter from Halifax assures us that in Nova Scotia "the Reformers have as yet done nothing in the way of agitation, relying upon Lord John Russell—if he fails, they will give you enough of it." Our correspondent refers to a newspaper sent with his letter, but it has not been received; and on more than one occasion newspapers addressed to us from the same quarter have been intercepted.
