Life and Work in Newfoundlancl By Rev. J. Moreton. (Rivingtons.)

—In this small volume Mr. Moreton has given us a modest and inter- esting account of his experiences of thirteen years' missionary labour on the coast of Newfoundland. The severity of the winter climate and the wide dispersion of the population combine to render the life of a clergy- man in that country one of more than ordinary difficulty, and excite our respect for those devoted men who are ready to face such hardships in the cause of duty. Even to those who read merely for amusement, Mr. Moreton's book will not be unacceptable.
