CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ATLAS. Specially prepared for the Times Trade

and Engineering Supplement. George Philip and Son, Ltd. £2 12s. 611.)

Tins Atlas is wholly admirable. The improvements in

surveying, statistical information and statistical method have made essential a new type of map that will combine the old topographical details with a comprehensive division of countries into commercial regions. This need is now satisfied ; and graphs, diagrams, and letterpress add a fascina- ting manual in the geography of commodities and transport. The maps are beautifully printed, and there is an excellent

compendium and- index of commodities. Here- is a book not only for the specialist, but also for the citizen to whom

Imperial development is more than a mere political sentiment.
