On Thursday, June 25th, Greece underwent yet another revolution, fortunately

a bloodless one. General Pan- galos, the well-known leader of the militarist republicans, seized the War Office, while his ally, Admiral Hajikyriakos took conimand of :the gavy. The General sent an ulti- -niatum. to Admiral Konduriotis demanding the resigna- : Ron of M. Michalakopoulos and his Cabinet, who quickly aquiesced in order to " avoid bloodshed." The coup was well and thoroughly planned, for the General's friends immediately proclaimed the refolution and took control in Salonika and Patras. The decision of the revolutionary leaders was due to the expectation that General Kondylis would get his way with the Govern- ment in the imposition of strong measures of discipline in the Army and the arrest of leaders of discontent. They also count on support from those who think that the Government acted weakly over the Yugo-Slav's demands in control of the Salonika Railway.
