The Volunteer Review on Saturday, before the Prince of Wales,
went off exceedingly well. There were 21,743 rank and file on the ground, and it is remarked that they assembled in and quitted the park in less than an hour. The Commander-in-Chief praises the marching past as steady, and all soldiers present appear to acknow- ledge the immense advance made since Her Majesty reviewed the same force four years ago. Of the county corpe present the First Manchester and the Robin Hoods (Nottingham) excited the greatest admiration, but precedence was assigned to the London Rifle Brigade.
