Richard Gott?

Sir: Last Friday evening I was waiting at a bus stop on my way to a dinner party. To while away the time, I was reading The Spectator.

The other man at the bus stop took exception to my leisurely pursuit, and began to shout at me. Eventually he punched me, leaving me with a cut above the left eye.

I believe I have a case for compensation, and I would very much appreciate a free subscription.
