3s. 6d.) is as good as usual both in letterpress and illustration. —This firm's New Penny Magazine (2s. 6d.) is certainly a triumph of cheapness. The frontispiece alone, a quite charming picture, ought to go a long way towards giving an equivalent for the price.—The Quiver (same publishers) is an old favourite of a more serious kind, it will be remembered, than many of its contemporaries, and always kept up to its standard with notable success.
