Double standards

Sir: May I ask why the Government is so persistent in pressing sanctions against Rhodesia, but is so pusillanimous over the protection of our own fishermen off the coast of Iceland, in spite of the decision of the Court at The Hague in our favour?

We have been told twice over the BBC that we cannot win against Iceland, for reasons that are theoretical and suppositious; but the futility of pursuing sanctions against Rhodesia has been proved.
