The Great Western steam-ship arrived at Liverpool yesterday, with advises

from New York to the 18th September; and the West India mail-steamer Clyde, which left St. Thomas's on the 15th September, brings advices from Vera Cruz RI the 1st of that month. Both in Mexico and the United States matters re- mained in statu quo, the Mexican President having made no declaration of war. The French Minister in Mexico, who some time back was personally offended, had closed diplomatic relations with the Government.
