DEATHS.

On the 11th April. on her passage from Calcutta to London, MARY, the Wife of Dr. J. Gregory Vos, Hon. East India Company's Service, Calcutta. In July last, at the Rectory, St. George's, in the Island of Barbados, the Rev. WIL- LIAM PINDER, sun of the late lion. William Piuder, Chief Judge of the 'stead of Bar- bados.

On the 19th August, at Lawson's Hotel, Rue St. Honore, Paris, the Very Rev. JAMES EDWARD JACKSON. Dean of Armagh. Ou the filst. at the Royal Naval Hospital. Plymouth, Captain HUGH NURSE. R.N., in his 45th year. He held the command of the African station in H.M.S. Iris. James's

Natal History" records his command of a tender of H.M.S. Tyne, in the West In- dies, in the year 1820, when he highly distinguished himself in a desperate and suc- cessful conflict against a very supenor piratical force, in which action he was most se- verely wounded.
