Shaken by the Estimates Committee's revela- tions on Service expenditure (e.g., it costs us £1,000 a year to keep an Army dog in Singapore), some taxpayers at least must have been soothed by the headline from darkest Hampshire: 'PUMA AT LARGE ON FARM: THE ARMY IS READY.' Who says we don't get value for our money?
