The Naval Manoeuvres have resulted in the victory of the

B Squadron,—the squadron which, in effect, represented the United Kingdom. The B Squadron went out to meet a Convoy of food ships in the Atlantic, met it, and brought it home in safety to Milford Haven without any interruption from the enemy's ships. It would not be wise to build too mach upon this, but at any rate it shows that the protection of our sea-borne commerce is not such a hopeless task as is sometimes alleged.
