First Steps to Euclid. By A. K. Isbister, M.A. (Longman

and Co.)— The propositions of the First Book as they should be written in an ex- amination. Premises and conclusion are always in different lines, and the principal conclusions are printed in a different type. So, in the figures, the data are given in dark lines, while such parts of the figure as must be added in the course of construction are given in dotted lines. There can be no doubt that the more the eye can be made to share the labour of the mind the easier the beginner in geometry will find the study.
