The " Guardian" Our old contemporary, the Guardian, is, we

learn, to reduce its price to twopence with this week's issue. The Guardian was founded in the early years of Queen Victoria's reign, when the Oxford Movement was still vigorous, to represent the views of the Church of England in current controversy. It still continues, with unabated vigour, to express the opinions of moderate Churchmen. • * *
