Both Houses met today to take their Addresses up to

the Queen. The Peers, headed by the Lord Chancellor, left the House of Lords for Buckingham Palace at a quarter past twelve o'clock. Their Lordships wore naval or military uniforms or court-dresses. The House of Commons went up a quarter of an hour later, headed by the Speaker. All the Ministerial Members were in court-dresses, except the Ministers, who wore the Windsor uniform ; and the very few Opposition Members who attended were in plain clothes.

Immediately after the presentation of the Addresses, the Queen returned to Windsor.

The state-carriage of the Speaker and the procession of the Commons were delayed some time at the end of Parliament Street, by the passing of the funeral procession bearing the body of Mr. Ducrow from Lambeth to Kensall Green Cemetery.
