The Rotifers; or, Wheel Animalcules. By C. T. Hudson, LL.D.,

and P. H. Goese, F.R.S. (Lougmans and Co.)—This is the last of the six volumes, and thus completes the series on the rotifers. The illustration leave nothing to be desired. The descriptive notes are clear, compact, and to the point. We congratulate the authors on the accident which enabled them to combine their notes, and on their scientific and well-arranged work. The rotifers have always excited a great amount of interest since the time of their supposed marvellous revivification. Biologists will, we are sure, acknowledge all the advantages we have claimed for the work.
