The First Edition Society has published a very attractive edition

of Gulliver's Trove/s, with a scholarly introduction, bibliography and notes by Mr. Harold Williams. The immortal Gulliver's comment on the Yahoos, that they are the only animals of the country subject to illness and that their diseases were contracted " not by any Illtreatment they meet with, but by the Nastiness and Greediness of that Sordid Brute," is a remark for all time. We do not know whether to commend most the enthusiasm and erudition of the editcir, or the print and binding of the publishers. Together they have given us a classic perfectly produced.
