The Haymarket burlesque of the Ninth Statue, founded on the

well- known Arabian tale, is a superior production of its class. The Messrs. Brough have constructed their story well, and have written smart dia- logue ; while the manager, by his splendid scene of the " Grotto of the Statues," shows a laudable desire to gain for the Haymarket a character for decorative magnificence. Miss P. Horton, who plays the rapid (i. e. "fast") young King, is, as in former times, the mainstay of the piece ; acting with all that unpretending cleverness which has so long made her a favourite of the public.
