WORKS OF REFERENCE.

WHO'S WHO, 1924. (Black. 42s. net.) Who's Who, 1924, makes a welcome appearance in its seventy-fourth year, though in common with other works of reference it has been cheated of impeccability by the occurrence of a General Election at the hour almost of its birth. With little over 8,000 pages it has not swollen notice- ably in size since last year, and remains just within the limits of portability. As usual, Who's Who has responded satis- factorily to all the tests we have made, though we have detected, with mingled feelings, that a well-known residential quarter has been misrepresented as " Cheater Square."
