Petitions have been presented to the Encumbered Estates Court for the sale of a portion of John Sadleir's landed property : the petitions are on be- half of the trustees of the London and County Bank, Messrs. Eyre, and other mortgagees. The rental exceeds 60001.

William Curran, a farmer of Manure near Parsonstown, has been shot dead through a window while sitting in his parlour at night. The crime is supposed to have originated in some family misunderstanding arising from Curran' s recent second marriage.
