Arius the Libyan. (Appleton and Co., New York and London.)

—This "Romance of the Primitive Church" is a volume of the " Town and Country Library." It is noticeable, apart from its other qualities, as an effort to put a heretic's case before the world. Heretics have commonly had little justice done to them, because their stories have been told by their enemies. Unhappily, the materials are for the most part lost, and the vindicator has to have recourse to his imagination. It is interesting to note the nationalities of the authors who contribute to the "Town and Country Library." Out of a total of twenty, fourteen are English, four American, one German, and one French.
