A large meeting of the Ulster Association was held on

Wednesday in the Theatre at Belfast, to support Ministers. Lord Charlemont was in the chair ; and Mr. Sharman Crawford, Mr. Ross, the new candidate for Belfast, and several of the leading gentry of the quarter, were pre- sent. A letter was read from Lord Gosford, saying that he still gave his support to Ministers generally, though not on the Corn question. The meeting was very cordial in its approbation of the " principle " of the new financial propositions ; but reserved its opinion as to duties which Ministers might retain upon the three articles of corn, sugar, and timber, and recommended the speedy abolition of all monopoly duties, while they urged with confidence an appeal to the people. An address to the Queen was ordered to be framed in accordance with the resolu- tions.
