Sir: I agree with the letter (22 May) about the typography and lay-out of your paper. In truth,

I used to LIKE having the SPECTATOR lying on my table but I don't now.

I think the cover is particularly vulgar and the drawings distasteful. There used to be an admirable simplicity and dignity about the paper and I miss it now. I go on taking it, I must admit, but I always turn it face downwards.
