The Indian news is chiefly remarkable for one fact :

the de- mand of Jung Bahadoor for aid in hunting down the Sepoys and rebels who have sought shelter in his dominions. This disposes of the suspicions impugning the fidelity of our ally. Of course, if he asks our aid, he must give up all his troops capture. Oude is quiet. Tantia Topee is flying towards the Indus ; his band diminished to scanty numbers by successive defeats. Sir Hugh Rose has gone with a brigade to bring the Rohillas of the Nizam's country to book for their innumerable offences.
