Nelson and Sons.)—Lives of men, mostly self-taught, who have been remark- able for their literary or scientific eminence. Among others we notice Sir William Jones, Cervantes, Tycho Brahe, Belzoni, Franklin, Mont- golfier, and Tom Britton, the musical small-coal man, the last being surely in better company than he was ever in during his life. The narra- tives are, we doubt not, fairly correct as to facts, but they are not very spirited.
