The business of the Credit Foncier Company having rapidly in-

creased, the formation of a Credit Whitler Company, under the same directorship, has become necessary, in order to undertake the financial operations which have hitherto been carried out by the Credit Foncier, and which do not come under the denomination which its title implies. Some of the leading objects of this com- pany are to negotiate loans, to lend on the security of stocks shares, &c., and to receive money on deposit. The shares are of 501. each, but it is not intended for the present to call up more than 201. per share.
