THE QUEEN has been actively engagedin outdoor exercises and amuse- ments. She has driven abroad every day. Accompanied by the Prince Consort and the Princesses, her Majesty has visited the Royal Academy and the Exhibition of the New Society of Painters in Water Colours, and the Haymarket Theatre.

The birthday of Prince Arthur was kept at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. Prince Alfred set out to rejoin the Euryalus on Thursday. Professor Owen has delivered two more lectures on Natural History at Buckingham Palace.
