David Steel ballad

Sir: In Rachel, Law's poem 'The Ballad of David Steel' the one and a half lines: " . . . and Hindley takes communion on her knee" strongly give the impression, in their context, that communion is not for bad people. Everybody should know that this is untrue: it staggers one that many educated people in Christendom — geographically, anyway — still do not know it; or else lie about it.

'God and His Angels' would ' weep' if Myra Hindley did not take Communion. 'God and His Angels' are concerned even more about aborted souls than about aborted features.
