Sra,—In the illuminating article last week upon " The Annexation of the Congo State," the writer says that Belgium " desires to take over a territory larger than Europe." The area of the Congo State is approximately nine hundred thousand square miles; of Europe between three and a half and four million square miles. Surely he is exaggerating the
