We rejoice to find that the electors of Dundee are

of our opinion respecting the choice of it representative to succeed the late Mr. KINLOCII. Almost immediately upon the arrival of the news of that gentleman's death, a great public meeting, called by the Chief Magis- trate, Provost LINDSAY, was held; at which it was unanimously resolved to invite Sir HENRY PARNELL to stand for the representation of the borough. Five hundred electors signed the requisition in the course of a few hours. SIR HENRY has left town for Dundee ; and as every other person- who had local or other pretensions, at crice waived • them in his favour, he will be triumphantlyreturned, to the honour and satisfaction of all parties in Dundee, and, we are sure, to the ad- vantage ,of the country.
