Two Bright Shillings. By Evelyn Everett-Green. (R.T.S )— This is

a modernised version, not without an appropriate moral for the times, of the Two Apprentices. Both have a "splendid shilling" given to them. Ben gives his away to a poor widow ; Nat puts his into a sweepstakes, which, to his ultimate loss, he wins. We need not pursue the story further ; let it suffice to say that Mrs. Everett-Green is too kind-hearted to let the idle one meet the traditionary doom.
