BOWATER'S PAPER MILLS.

The latest report of Bowater's Paper Mills for the year ended September 30th last strengthens the favourable impression created by the report of a year ago, a substantial increase being shown in the profits. The directors, however, are pursuing a conservative policy, and, while maintaining the dividend on the ordinary shares at 71 per cent., they have placed a further £20,000 to the general reserve and increased the balance carried forward from a little over £28,000 to £88,763. The balance-sheet is also a satisfactory one.
