The best features of London Society at the present moment

is " Rita's " serial story of " The Countess Pharamond." Her characters are not at all likeable, much less loveable ; but such as they are, they are carefully drawn. There is undoubted force in "A. W. F.'s " " A Hunting Adventure," which is stated to be founded on fact, and the end is painfully pathetic. The other contents of this number do not call for notice.
