THE - HUMANE SLAUGHTER OF ANIMALS [To the Editor of the

SPECTATOR.] SIR,—It may interest you to know that 1 sent the articleg in the Spectator, on the use of the humane killer in slaughtering animals for food, to my butcher; Mr. Gillon, of Colinton, Midlothian. He was so much impressed that he adopted the system, and has persuaded many others to follow his example in our big Edinburgh slaughterhouses, which are supposed to be the finest in Europe—I am, Sir, &c., CECIL DUNDAS.

Redhall, Slateford, Midlothian.
