A PinusniNG CONSOLIDATION.

The past year has been a good one in the publishing trade as carried on by George Newnes, Ltd., and at the recent annual meeting the chairman, Sir Frank Newnes, made the interesting statement that it had been considered desirable that the relations already existing between the Newnes Company, the C. Arthur Pearson Company, and Country Life should be made still closer, and a scheme with the object of further consolidating the concerns was being formulated. A similar statement was made by Lord Riddell at the meeting of C. Arthur Pearson, Ltd-.
